Here's a book that should be mandatory for all would be drafters of constitutions:

This is where the foundations for today's police state were laid.

Well, if you need more Qui Custodiet Custodies, just turn to the recent case of the "Pennsylvania Sniper" Eric Frein. He's gone! Vanished, poof!

They estimate over half a million dollars have been spent trying to find this guy by the FBI, ATF, XYZ, you name it, the alphabet is out there. And they've got nothing.

Its reminiscent of the case of another Eric, Eric Rudolph, who was on the run for five years from the big old bad FBI, DEA, ATF, OMG, only to finally be caught by a Barney Fife type local rookie cop who had a gun but I don't think they were trusting him with bullets yet. Rudolph later wrote to his mother that he could have easily eluded this yokel cop but was overcome by a moment of righteous indignation and "oh what the hell" tiredness that made him give himself up so that he could possibly spread his word and beliefs in trial.

Another wrinkle is that cases like these, where some man (usually Aryan and White you notice) has eluded capture for so long, they usually turn themselves in, get betrayed and fingered by an informant, or (in the case of a trio in Utah I read about) die in the wilderness in mysterious circumstances (looked like they had a fight between themselves).

These men are totally showing the big bad armor wearing tank driving cops to be 21st century keystone kops. IF Frein can stay fed, avoid betrayal, and not lose heart when confronted with Roscoe P. Coltrane, he'll never be caught!
