Thoughtcrime
"To the future or to the past, to a time when thought is free...to a time when truth exists, and what is done cannot be undone...From the age of uniformity, from the age of solitude, from the age of Big Brother, from the age of doublethink--greetings!" - George Orwell, 1984

Too bad Edgar wasn't tried by German courts. The recently convicted war criminal John Demjanjuk was sentenced to 5 years for being an accessory in the killing of nearly 28,000 inmates during WW 2. He was also allowed to remain free pending an appeal which could take years. He is presently in a nursing home at German taxpayers expense.
If this is the gauge of punishment for criminal behavior then Edgar would have gotten a weekend of picking up trash along a highway. Also, Edgar should be in somekind of nursing home rather than jail due to his very serious heart condition.
