You mentioned Morris Dees. "As of October 2008, the net assets of the SPLC were $170,240,129." This comes from a 2009 "The Nation" article by Alexander Cockburn titled "King of the Hate Business." You can find it on the web. The net worth may now be less, but as I haven't heard of him investing with Bernie Madoff, it probably hasn't dropped down as far as those organizations which did. Another article elsewhere, which title I can not recall, mentioned that the SPLC was not going after animal rights activists (the ones who damage property and harass researchers), presumably as a new source of funds. Not sure how well they are doing with that.

CJ: If you are referring to the SPLC article, it is something you read. Just google the title and see what comes up. If you are referring to something else, well, it isn't clear to what.
