No, Idiot Child, We Are Not "Winning" In Iraq

I know, everybody's still doing Thanskgiving-ish bourgeois crap this weekend, and so people are paying even less attention than usual, so I'll make it short.

There has been a slight drop in dead Iraqis, and a somewhat more significant drop in Imperial casualties over the past few months, which of course the drunken midget in the White House and the Jews' suck-ass flunkies in the media are spinning into Victory, Victory, Glorious Victory.

Bullshit.

The reason the casualty figures are dropping is because most areas in Iraq have now been ethnically cleansed, with a corresponding decrease in available targets. The country is divided into Sunni and Shi'ite enclaves which are controlled and policed, if that is the word, by their own assorted militias. Basically, the Americans have given up trying to impose Jeffersonian democracy on a race and a region that neither undetrstands it nor wants it, and they have handed the Iraqis over to the tender loving care of their local gangsters. This is especially true in the south of the country, now that the British have pulled out of Basra and the city has been taken over by a consortium of Mafia-like local criminal clans or extended families, most of whom are many centuries old and have a long tradition of brigandage and skulduggery.

Hmm...actually, that might be an interesting model for this country, some day not as far in the future as we might think.
