Aryan Movie List

In our regular weekly chat last night, we got to talking about movies, and which ones are of any worth at all, a very small list as you can imagine. This is the list we've come up with so far. Remember, none of these films except Birth of a Nation and Triumph of the Will are ideologically perfect. They do, after all, come out of Hollywood. The following is a suggested list of flicks that have something of racial or moral significance to say to us, buried deep under all the Hollywood crap and propaganda.

These are the ones we have come up with so far, in alphabetical order:

Alvarez Kelly*
Birth of a Nation
Braveheart
Dr. Zhivago
Excalibur
Gone With The Wind
Lord of the Rings
Michael Collins (!!!)
Miller's Crossing**
Red Dawn
Rob Roy
Soylent Green
The 13th Warrior
The Blue Max
The Hunley
The Naked Prey
The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Searchers
The Shootist
The Summer Of My German Soldier***
They Live! (A bit esoteric, but I get it.)
Triumph of the Will
Wagner
Zulu

Special Category: War movies that need about five minutes of anti-Nazi or anti-Confederate propaganda crap deleted, and then they'd be great flicks.

Cross of Iron
Das Boot (English or German)
Ride With The Devil (whole "black Confederate" character can and should be deleted, then great stuff!)
The Eagle Has Landed

Maybes: (Good flicks, but seem to be missing key racial or other element)
Mad Max
The Wild Bunch****
Bladerunner (?)

Any more suggested additions?

-HAC

*Never saw this myself, but will take Wagner's word on it.
**Possibly the most blatantly anti-Jewish successful film ever made by Hollywood.
***Dr. Goebbels could have done this one, but it seems to have disappeared. I can't find it anywhere.
****IMHO disfigured by "good Mexican" character, but great flick nonetheless.

How about "Night of the Generals" with Donald Pleasence, Omar Sharif, and Christopher Plummer?

Or the Finnish movies about the Winter War?

Thanks! You made me curious enough to watch the trailer online. For those who don’t know, it is about the Spartans taking on the Persians (Iranians, funny about the timing, isn’t it?). Do you think the movie will emphasize the Spartan’s contempt for outward displays of wealth and consumerism? Their policy of overthrowing democratic/populist tyrants wherever found (Spartans favored the middle class/aristocratic systems)? No, I bet they will turn the Spartans ideas about class equality into modern day “egalitarian” heroes. Oh well. I bet there is a good book somewhere about the Persian wars. Or maybe Harold can write one.

Has anyone ever seen s strange one called, "The Empty Mirror"? Hitler's soul defends his accomplishments. Some of it what you would expect, but some unbelievable from the standpoint of the creators.

Check out "Hidalgo" with Vigo Mortensen (LOTR). It is about an endurance race in the Sahara Desert and the "hero" is the first American to compete.

Also if you are into documentaries, the BBC did a special about the Celts ("The Celts"). Portrays the Celts in a more positive and dynamic light rather than the typical barbarian image.
